All type except for title, authors, and affiliations should be 12 pt. Use single line spacing throughout. Insert one blank line between paragraphs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elements of the manuscript (as appropriate) should as closely as possible be ordered as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Title<\/li>\n<li>Author(s) and affiliation(s)<\/li>\n<li>Abstract<\/li>\n<li>Keywords<\/li>\n<li>Main body of text with all Tables and Figures placed in paper as near as possible to where they are first referred<\/li>\n<li>References<\/li>\n<li>Nomenclature (optional, use only if terms need to be defined)<\/li>\n<li>Acknowledgments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Margins<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Text must be printed with each page having 1-inch (25mm) margins on all sides<\/p>\n<p><strong>Title, Authors, Affiliations, Abstract, and Key Words<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Title of article, author(s), affiliation(s), abstract of up to 1500 words, and 5 to 10 key words are printed on the first page. Title should be in 18 pt bold type; use \u201ctitle case\u201d (capitals for the first character of each word except articles, conjunctions, prepositions, symbols that are normally lowercase, etc.). This would be a new page if Title, Authors, Abstract and Key words fit on the first page, or the main body would immediately follow the Key Words if the Title, Authors, Abstract and Key words require 2-pages. All text should be set flush left, ragged right. Do not insert manual hyphens or manual line breaks within a paragraph.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Headings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All headings should be in \u201ctitle case.\u201d First-level headings should be set bold and centered. Second-level headings should be set bold and flush left. Third-level headings should be set bold italic and flush left. Following are examples of each heading:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h1 align=\"center\">THIS IS A FIRST-LEVEL HEADING<\/h1>\n<h2>THIS IS A SECOND-LEVEL HEADING<\/h2>\n<h3><em>This Is a Third-Level Heading<\/em><\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Equations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Equations should be centered and preceded and followed by a blank line. Equation numbers should be placed in parentheses and set flush right and aligned with the last line of the equation. Equations should be cross referenced in the text as \u201cEquation (1), Equations (1) and (2)\u201d and in parentheses as \u201c(Eq. (1), Eqs. (1) and (2)).\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tables and Figures<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tables<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tables should be included within the manuscript text and placed as close as possible to where they are first referenced. Be sure to use Word\u2019s table construction tool (Table\/Insert Table) rather than multiple spaces or tabs. Tables should be cross referenced in the text and in parentheses as \u201cTable 1, Tables 1 and 2.\u201d The Table Heading should be at the top of the table in Times New Roman font 12.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Figures<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>should be included within the manuscript text and placed as close as possible to where it is first referenced.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Captions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each figure must have a caption immediately below it in text. All figure captions should be listed in Times New Roman font, and 10 pt. Figures should be cross referenced in the text as \u201cFigure 1, Figures 1 and 2\u201d and in parentheses as \u201cFig. 1, Figs. 1 and 2.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>References<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>References should be cited in the text using the name\/date system as in the following example:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201c\u2026as in our previous work (Brown 1998, Brown and Jones 1999, Brown et al. 2000) and that of Smith (1999).\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Examples of Citations:<\/p>\n<p>Bumgardner M, Nicholls D, Donovan G (2007) Effects of species information and furniture price on consumer preferences for selected woods. HARC Forestry Report 3<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other Advice and Style Considerations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Follow the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.swst.org\/publications\/wfs\/authors\/si_units.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SI SYSTEM OF UNITS<\/a>. Common exceptions are acceptable, such as min, h, \u00b0, \u00b0C, cm, but as far as possible be consistent within the same manuscript.<\/p>\n<p>Do not be afraid to use personal pronouns and the active voice.<\/p>\n<p>Do not use acronyms and initialisms in Abstract.<\/p>\n<p>Be sure to define all acronyms and initialisms at their first occurrence in the main body of text.<\/p>\n<p>Include product or trade names only if necessary for the technical content of the paper.
