53rd International Convention

The Society of Wood Science and Technology will hold its 2010 International Convention in Geneva, Switzerland at the Palais des Nations together with our co-hosts the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe - Timber Committee (UNECE-TC).
Innovative Wood Products are the Future

| Session 6 | Structural design for sustainable construction and disaster mitigation |
| Session 7 | Current challenges in wood science education |
Each session has a North American and a European co-chair.
The UNECE Timber Committee meeting will be held October 11-15 with both concurrent and parallel sessions.
Languages: The official languages of the convention are English, French, and Russian. There will be simultaneous translations.

Final Day Industry Tour: The last day of the convention is a day-long tour including visits to the Center for European Nuclear Research (CERN), École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), and Sauvabelin Tower.
