Student Poster Winners 2007

The 2007 Student Poster Competition was held on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at the Hilton Hotel, Knoxville, Tennessee.

The winners were:

First Place - $500 - Awarded to: Joseph Jakes, University of Wisconsin-Madison,

"Accounting for Edge Effects and Structural Compliances in Nanoindentation Measurements of Wood Cell Walls"

 

Second Place - $250 - Awarded to: Zhiyuan Lin, Virginia Tech

"Tailored cellulosic fiber surface: layer-by-layer nanocoating of polyelectrolytes and clay platelets on steam exploded wood fiber"

 

Third Place - $125 - Awarded to: Chris Gabrielli, Oregon State University

"Chemical Wood Modification: Dimensional Stabilization of Viscoelastic Thermal Compressed Wood"
