2007 50th Anniversary Annual Convention

Knoxville, Tennessee
The 2007 SWST Annual Convention took place on
Sunday, June 10th, 2007 in Knoxville, Tennessee, at the Hilton Hotel.
There
was a full day Symposium on
"Advanced Analytical Tools for the Wood Industry". The session ran from
8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and again from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
in the Knoxville Convention Center. SWST also held a concurrent "Analytical Equipment Manufacturers and
Distributors Exhibit Forum" and a "Poster Session on Applications of
Advanced Analytical Tools for Lignocellulosic Materials".

An Awards Presentation, business meeting, and
lunch took place from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. A special presentation was
given by
Robert Youngs, "Founding a Society: Reminiscences of the Conception and
Birth of SWST." Awards presented were:
