SWST Student Poster Competition Donation Request

The purpose of the Student Poster Competition is to:

1. Encourage student membership and participation in SWST,
   

2. Encourage student attendance at the SWST Annual meeting
   

3. Recognize excellence in student research, and
   

4. Improve the visibility of student research efforts.
   

We are pleased to update you on the current status of the SWST Student Poster Competition Fund status. First a little bit of history may be in order. The initial donations beginning in 1998 were generously contributed by California Cedar Products, Virginia Tech, and Oregon State University. We are grateful for subsequent donations from APA-The Engineered Wood Association, Asian Woods Company, Balazs Zombori, California Cedar Products, Forintek Canada Corporation, Iowa State University, Louisiana State University, Mississippi State University, North Carolina State University, Oregon State University, State University of New York (SUNY) ESF, Virginia Tech, University of British Columbia, University of Idaho, Washington State University, and Willamette Industries, Inc.

Currently we are awarding $500 for first place and $250 for second place, and $125 for third place, plus a laser plaque to each winner.

We would like to thank all past contributors for their generous support. We are now trying to reach old and new contributors. Any amount is welcome. You may select the size of your donation from the table below. All contributors will be recognized at all SWST Student Poster Competitions. If your university, company, or association requires an official invoice before you can contribute, just let the Executive Office know and we will promptly send you one.
